MUSIC FESTIVALS

GENERAL INFORMATION

Students at Whitby School of Music are encouraged to participate in a number of local music competitions and festivals throughout the lesson year.

Our faculty is experienced in preparing students to achieve success in performance with past students competing at the Provincial and National levels.

PICKERING ROTARY MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Rotary Club of Pickering strives to put on a quality festival, and provide the best adjudicators available, so that you and the entrants will receive invaluable and constructive adjudication. We strive to give our competitors, and non-competitors, a positive and reinforcing experience.

Pickering Rotary Music Festival is a member of the Ontario Music Festival Association and sends qualifying advanced students each year to the Provincial Finals.

DURHAM SHOWCASE FESTIVAL

The Durham Showcase Music Festival is an annual non-competitive and competitive event that provides an opportunity for students in the Durham Region to hone their skills, showcase their talents and gain confidence in their abilities through performance.

This event was established to encourage and support our youth in both their personal and artistic development in a positive environment.

The Durham Showcase Music Festival is a member of the Ontario Music Festival Association and sends qualifying students each year to the Provincial Finals.
